Eat Play OCNJ

While searching for other Ocean City blogs, I came across one run by a girl named Nicole Baglivo. The name of it is Eat. Play. OCNJ. From the creative name alone, I knew I was going to enjoy the content this blog had to offer.

This blog contains numerous posts talking about living in OCNJ. I believe that Nicole and I both post very similar entries and I loved going through all of hers. Similar to me, she uses all of her own photography, for this reason, I was drawn to her one titled "OCNJ Boardwalk Classics: Photo Gallery." Her first two sentences offer a great glimpse into what the rest of the post will be about.
"The attractions, restaurants, and stores on the Ocean City boardwalk change annually, but there are a few traditional spots that have remained strong.  These classic spots on the OCNJ boardwalk are open all year and draw a lot of tourist attention during the summer months."
The paragraph continues on with information about all the iconic locations that make up the Ocean City Boardwalk. I love how each location provides a personal photo gallery as well as plenty of information about what the businesses are and what you can get there.

This sign is one that is recognizable to almost every person that has ever visited Ocean City. Well, fun fact, this place used to be called "Mac and Manco." Nicole talks about the infamous long line that stretches halfway across the boardwalk full of hungry beachgoers. From my own experience, this line is so consistently long it has almost become apart of the Mancos dining experience itself!

This entry talks about a subject I have been dancing around a bit, and that is a list of the absolute classics Ocean City has to offer. While these may seem like cliché and basic places to go while in Ocean City, they truly play an integral role in the identity of this town. I have really been trying to uncover the hidden aspects of Ocean City so that is why I've been avoiding the touristy go-to's of OC. However, there are good reasons why they are so beloved. It is important to inform people more on places they know they will be seeing if they head to the boardwalk, and others love hearing about places they've been.

I really enjoy Nicholes' posts and look forward to possibly hearing from her as I inquire more about her entries. Be sure to check out her post for more great photography of the Ocean Citys classics.

Update: I reached out to Nichole for a comment and this was her response:
"“Thanks so much for the shout out, Ren! It’s great to see other bloggers sharing the beauty and greatness of OCNJ with their readers. Keep up the good work, and always enjoy OCNJ for everything that makes it an amazing beach town.”
